We all know about the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Ca. Formerly Grauman Chinese Theatre, the venue is world famous for star-studded events and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It has hosted premieres for blockbusters like Anchorman, Inglorious Bastards and Life of Pi.
Today, Christie Digital Systems, the provider of Outdoor Movies’ digital cinema projection technology, announced that it is the official 4k digital projection partner of TCL Chinese Theatres. The theater will utilize the 4k Christie® Duo™ two-projector system, while other digital cinema projectors have been installed at other TCL Chinese Theatres. The historic theater will be using two of Christie’s Solaria® CP4230 projectors, which is one of several digital cinema projectors Outdoor Movies carries.
According to Christie’s press release, Jim Dukes, senior product manager, said that the massive screen at TCL Chinese Theatres is an excellent canvas for demonstrating the enormous power and brightness of the total solution that Christie Duo and two Christie Solaria® CP4230 projectors deliver.
